Oh the weather outside is...

It couldn't have been a more magical setting on Tuesday when we got our first snow of the season. While I own a down coat and waterproof snow boots, it's so much fun to wear winter gear that has a little more pizzazz. Now, I'm not going to tell you to throw practical pieces out the window, I am the first person to find an old cozy sweatshirt, jeans, a down coat, and my waterproof boots to go sledding with my family, but just because it's snowing doesn't mean you can't still show your style. bundle up

winter walk

My jacket was a sale find at Zara. It's actually really warm and has great faux leather detail on the zipper and pockets. Accessorizing it with scarves of different patterns and colors is endless. It makes a casual look render chic and a dressy look more polished.

cold feet

My boots, that Danielle almost made me take off, are Uggs. Yes, I realize many people (especially Danielle) have opinions about these very "trendy" boots, but I bought them when I was pregnant with Chloe and the warmth (so warm I'm not even wearing socks!) and comfort is what sold me. While I had to promise Danielle I would never wear them again for future posts, just know that if you are looking for a boot for warmth and comfort, here, here and here are a few styles I think look...well...warm and comfortable. Don't tell Danielle.

winter look

My scarf, also from Zara is...wait for it...warm and cozy. I'm a big fan of blue this season and I feel like this scarf will go with lots of different styles of jackets- leather, wool, down etc.

taking it all in

My sweater, is also ...yes, Zara. I was drawn to the sparkly jewels which remind me of snowflakes . My hat I've featured before on the blog, and is from Target. Here, here, and here are a few that I love and you can't go wrong for the price.

We had a blast playing in the snow. Hope you got to enjoy it if you're here on the East Coast, or at least I hope you're now inspired to shop for some new "winter gear".
