Have you heard of Broome and Bow? I discovered Broome and Bow reading up on other fashion blogs. I wanted to check it out and see what it was all about.
A genius concept in my opinion- you create a personal style profile listing your clothing sizes, style preferences, your favorite brands and places you like to shop. Then, once a month for $49.00/mth, a box of 3 -5 stylish pieces valued at $300.00 (and up) is yours to wear for 30 days! At the end of 30 days, you return the pieces in the box with the pre-paid label and your next box is sent out!
There are a few other online companies out there that are attempting this new form of styling, but what sets Broome and Bow apart is that they understand that not everyone may have the funds to buy that new complete look, have the time to research new designers, and create complete looks easily on their own. Broome and Bow gives you the accessibility to have a more diverse wardrobe for a fraction of what the pieces would cost at retail in the stores.
And here's the best part. If there's an item that you absolutely love, you simply email them and tell them you want to keep it. They charge you a special 'member' price - approx 20% off retail!
This look is was what I received in my first box. I typically wouldn't pick out this blouse (by Club Monaco) for myself in the store, but I loved it! The skirt (by Talulah) was super comfortable and I am O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D. with this Miansai cuff bracelet. But wait, I know you have more questions-
"What if I don't receive the correct size in an item?"
Email Broome and Bow within the first 5 days of receiving your box and they will tell you how to proceed to exchange that piece for the correct size.
"Do I need to clean the pieces before I return them?"
No. But if you need to clean them in the 30 days that you are renting the pieces, proper cleaning instructions for each garment are included in the box.
"What if I damage the garment?"
If you're unable to successfully clean the garment, or if it's a damage unrelated to cleaning, contact Broome and Bow to give them feedback, they want to hear from their customers if something is too delicate or doesn't wear well. They tell me there's no additional cost to you.
"How do I view and edit my profile?"
Since Broome and Bow is a new company and still in their "Beta phase", all correspondence is done through email. I can vouch that they are quick, friendly, eager to hear your opinions and in the know with the newest contemporary designers.
Here's a close up of the Miansai cuff I was telling you about. Isn't it awesome!?!
