This (The Liberty House and Liberty State Park) is one of my favorite places for many reasons- It was the location for our first picnic when we moved from NYC to Hoboken, the location for one of James' birthday celebrations where I transported cupcakes, sandwiches and a tent haphazardly in an attempt to surprise James with a small group of friends that all managed to get lost in the different locations of the park (it's the thought that counts, right?), the first place I ventured on my own via the light rail on a hot summer day with my 1 1/2 year old son and my 2 1/2 year old daughter (OMG that trip took every ounce of courage I had), and the place where some of my most special friends went above and beyond to surprise me for my birthday. Such good memories.
Places really hold such big meaning to me and most of the time bring a sense of comfort. This outfit is definitely one of those "comfortable" outfits that made me feel relaxed enough to kick up my feet for a bit and take in the crazy NYC views.
There's nothing like a comfortable shoe that you can wear all day and also has a little bit of, shall we say kick, to it. These booties are from BCBG and add a little bit of edge to any outfit because of their stud detail. These are unfortunately from last year and I searched online high and low but I came up short. My bag (by Pendleton), and fedora are both amazing sale finds from TJ Maxx. My sweater is one of my favorite purchases this winter and is from Air Studios here in Hoboken. Click here to grab one yourself, it also is available in black! (click here!)
This necklace (the cassady collar) is on current rotation in my jewelry box and is from Stella and Dot. It goes with everything and if you're looking for a statement piece that's not too overwhelming this is your piece. Grab it now, click here and why not add these earrings (click here) for a finished look?! Thanks for stopping by! xo
